Anti-Paraskavedekatriaphobia

That's the non-fear of Friday the 13th, if you were wondering.

DH is a big fan of Friday the 13th. I can't exactly explain it, but instead of being a bad luck day, for him it's a good luck day, and he looks forward to them. I think they are cool, but don't have any real effect on my life (that I can tell). But then, I'm the superstitious one - I knock on wood, pick up pennies, and throw spilled salt over my left shoulder on a regular basis - so it's slightly strange that the one thing that he's superstitious about has much less influence on me!

This one just happens to be followed by a couple of days that are important in their own right, the 14th and 15th of February.

A year ago I mentioned why I think Valentine's Day is special regardless of how it is celebrated. This one will be spent at our condo with my BIL. It's just as well that my trip to Vickie's was a bust as our bedroom up there is in a loft open to the foyer and living area. Having another person there and able to hear any activity is a little off-putting to me. The real celebration will have to wait until we get home. (Note to self - remember to pick up something for DH that he can enjoy at the condo - PS3 games don't do much without the system.)

And then there is the 15th. Not normally a day I take too much note of. Sure there's the 15th of April which scares some people, and the quarterly 15th's when the estimated minimum tax payments are due which can be very scary, but it's not a day that usually has much going for it. This one though, this one is the day that will either mark the day we start planning to become parents, or the day we start looking towards IVF for reals. How can that NOT be important?

Hope you have a great 13th, 14th, & 15th!
