Killing Time

I waited at least 45 minutes this morning at the hospital to have my blood taken for today's test. (aka: the test I'm in denial about, the test which is testing my courage)

In some ways it was like a roller coaster ride - first you have to get through the entry checkpoint (registration vs. height requirement), and then you have to wait for your turn to enter (waiting room vs. cattle chute), and then finally you get to the excitement (phlebotomy room vs. car).

Only, I'd much rather wait 45 minutes to spend 2 minutes riding a roller coaster than have my blood taken.

To say I'm feeling nervous, ambivalent, cowardly, would all be true.

Fingers crossed.

  1. Hey there! There's nothing cowardly about anything you're doing! You're a brave little toaster lady, and don't you ever forget it.

I will, of course, be stalking your blog to find out the results.
