Fifteen years ago this evening: I was sweating myself silly sitting in a plastic folding chair in the middle of a football field under the lingering rays of the afternoon sun. I was wearing a red, sleeveless, scooped neck, knee length, lined cotton sheath dress (still hanging in my closet, what?!, it's a classic) under a blue nylon robe, while wearing a matching blue hat with a square cardboard top, and topped with a button around which was wrapped the blue and gold tassel indicating I had managed to get myself through high school. (Sixteen years ago I was wearing a wool blend band uniform doing the same thing. I think the uniform was cooler.)
Also, fifteen years ago this evening: OJ Simpson was driving through the streets of LA in a white bronco with a police escort. We all know how that turned out.
That's one heck of a way to remember your high school graduation date.

Weird...I guess that means fifteen years ago I was playing with POGS in my cul-de-sac and trying to figure out why Broncos were suddenly what everyone had to talk about.
