As I mentioned yesterday, it was our 7th wedding anniversary.
For those who have been married fewer years and still make a big deal out of every anniversary, this is what you have to look forward to:
Dinner: At Home. Grilled tenderloin steaks. Baked potato or sweet potato. Green Giant Simply Steam Green Beans and Almonds.
Dessert: At Home. Mrs. Smith's Boston Cream Pie. Rosa Regale sparkling red wine (which really goes much better with straight chocolate, but was still good with the pie).
Gifts:
For DH: The Nerf sword he'd seen advertised while watching some TV program (perhaps the animated Star Wars series?)
For Me: A Boyd's Bears plush with music and movement. (It's one of those where you press a paw and the music plays, but I can't find it on their website or the Hallmark website.)
It wasn't exciting, but it was a nice evening and allowed DH time to do some more prep for the events of the coming weekend.
We'll probably go out for a nice dinner sometime later this month, and I still owe DH another gift (perhaps some snowboard boots, or something else he would enjoy).
Now I have to search for a new grill cover to replace the one he ripped this morning...

It sounds like a nice enough evening, I think everyone is too broke to make too big a deal out of anniversaries anymore. As long as you enjoy the time together I think it counts :)
