"Oh, *Name Redacted*"

A phrase commonly heard in our house these days.

I SHOULD have known things were up to no good when LO went quiet as I was packing up boxes of things which we can live without for the immediate/far future.

Yes, I should have.

And lesson learned as I entered LO's room to find her covered from mid-shin to elbow in the contents of a mostly full tube of Desitin, and the tube of A&D ointment with cap open clutched tightly in her hands.

A quick bathtub scrub with a shampoo I had set aside as being too oil-stripping for myself later and her skin was free of coverage. The same cannot be truly said for the dress she was wearing - it has gone through the wash once, and I believe will require a dousing in dishwashing liquid to cut the creme before the next wash cycle.

Toddlers really are too inquisitive for their own good, aren't they?

  1. Amen to that. I know Oliver is up to no good when all is quiet! We have lost a whole pot of Sudocreme recently. It is very hard to remove from mattresses let me tell you!

  2. Yup. I start to wonder what Little Guy is up to if things are too quiet.

I left him alone for a while in his room on a nap refusal day. (Yeah, mommy needed a break...) I went in to get him, and he had put an entire large tub of petroleum jelly on the window, all over the changing table, on the dresser, and the chair he used to get up there. Of course, the wood on the furniture looks great now, but it was awful to clean up!
