15 Week Update

Sickness - check.

Tired - check.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

I'm thinking after two consecutive days of having to leave my jeans to half zip or lower just to be comfortable, it's about time to break in the maternity jeans. And perhaps try again to look for maternity tops to cover the stretchy waist of said jeans. I've only looked at Target - and I have to ask - are maternity tops supposed to come half-way down my thighs? Because starting out with short legs, the thought of having half my legs disappear for the next six months, is so not thrilling me! I do hold out hope that that's just the style of the tops at Target, and other places hold better options. (Please, please, please don't disillusion me just yet...) On the other hand, it's a great time to get regular winter/long sleeve items on sale, so I may just try for that in larger sizes than usual for now and wait on the hunt for lighter weight maternity tops I can wear spring through summer.

In food news: without DH around there's been a lot of frozen individual pizza's being eaten. Cheese, or Margharita type thin crust, thank you very much. Though, last night was an exception: Trader Joe's chicken cilantro mini wontons with soy sauce. Ahhh, the salt. But even though the smell of them frozen almost made me gag, once cooked they were quite satisfactory (if dry on the thin tops). And they cook in 2 minutes in the microwave - easy, breezy. Also, mandarin orange slices in light syrup, and grapes are making me happy. And Hawaiian Punch made from a powdered mix with sugar, not premade since premade has bad stuff like sucralose that upsets my tummy even when all is "normal" with my body. (Though I just checked the HP website and they apparently use no longer use sucralose in the non-light version. Guess I had an old bottle. Hmmm, that makes me wonder why we paid so much for the 40 packet carton this fall...oh well.)

  2. It's so funny reading this because I can relate so much. Everyday is a challenge trying to find things to eat. I also find myself buying random things at the grocery store because they simply look edible, and that in itself is so exciting to me. Today, Pringles and popsicles are my friends.
Mushrooms and orange juice are repulsive. Hope you feel better soon!
