The appointment with Dr. S. (the RE) went well except for the discovery that we're going to have to move everything back a week thanks to Memorial Day.
DH and I have plans to go to the Outer Banks with his family for a needed break, and he obviously needs us to be around to keep an eye on the progress of my little eggies prior to retrieval. Can you say conflict of geographic locations?
I'd be fine with skipping the beach and getting started, but it's definitely better for our relationship to take the additional week and make the timing better. It just means that now I have to resolve my impatience with having to wait another week. And go back to the pharmacy to pick up another Rx for a packet of birth-control pills even though I will only be taking 6 days worth.
(And you may ask why the RE didn't bring this up when we saw him a couple weeks back? Well, I don't know but I do know we pushed everything a week forward at that time so I wouldn't potentially spend Memorial Day weekend flat on my back with bed rest after transfer. You win some, you lose some.)

Laaaaaaaaaaaaaame! I'm glad you and DH get to take a little break together though. Some time on the beach will probably we a very welcome respite before jumping into IVF. Enjoy every minute of it!
