I know the suspense was killing you...
The belly dancer was fine. Good, actually. The birthday boy's 3-4 year old grandson danced with her and she cracked a joke about not being able to compete with him, and she got the birthday boy up to get him shaking his hips while "Wipe out" was playing. (no visible boners; thanks, Lindsey for putting that delightful thought in my head, so that I had to actually check, in a subtle way, of course) I knew I was silly for reacting in such a way, but sometimes the gut/brain/heart don't always agree.
The POAS was negative (remember the two days of very light spotting?).
Not much going on here to report. Our dog shakes like a bowl of jello every time we have a loud thunderstorm come through, and it is the one time when we are home that she is allowed on the couch. It seems to calm her down to be able to lean on (or completely cover) one of us. She's showing signs of allergies starting again - chewing her feet, scratching at her ears - so we are going to try Benadryl and see if that works before we make the move to a dog dermatologist.
I don't know if they are easier to get appointments with than people dermatologists or not. I blame botox and those other "quick and easy" treatments for clogging up the appointment books when those of us with family histories of melanoma have to wait months to be seen and have our moles checked.
Sorry, that's just an issue I get frustrated with...that and there are so few doctors in my town which has been named a "top retirement community" by multiple national publications. Wouldn't you think that was an important thing to consider for a group of people who typically have a greater rate of health problems? /rant. Deep breath.
Back to regularly scheduled life: trying to avoid the inevitable late-August heat and humidity while still running errands and doing the stuff that has to be done. Not to mention dodging the just-returned-to-town college students, and parents with kids doing back to school shopping.

LOL Glad there were no boners. Even more glad that I made you think dirty thoughts about a 60 year old!
ReplyDeleteI believe I'm trying to convince my parents to move to the same "top retirement community" that you speak of. What part of town do you recommend? Last time they were in town they got with a realtor to check out Monticello. Other than that most research has been online.
Hah! Am glad you had no sightings of er.. manly bits..
ReplyDeleteI hear you on how frustrating it is waiting for procedures.. it's the same over here, sadly.
(And Wintergreen sounds awesome, just a little far away. *sniff*)
