So, as suspected the evening was quiet. DH drank a whole bottle of Ballatore and was not a happy camper the next morning. But we did manage to make it to 1AM.
We left Friday and did Christmas with my folks on the way up to Wintergreen - thankfully not a 9.5 hour drive this time. The gifts both ways were well thought out and well received. I got the Julia Child cookbook, so I'm looking forward to trying out some of the recipes (and DH is looking forward to being the recipient of the results).
What we found out up at Wintergreen - the county water supplier was having issues with supply. As in we had no water for much of the weekend. DH grabbed the last two gallons at the general store up there which allowed us drinking water and such, and we were able to squeak out showers both mornings, but that was about it. We also had COLD weather - I'm talking single digits not a piddly 20 degrees. After two weekends in a row of something funky (I'm looking at you Christmas with the mice), I'm really hoping next weekend is less off.
As I've said before, no resolutions here, just hopes that 2010 brings only good things to all I know in real life and through the internets.
