Harry Potter, The End! (no spoilers here)

Well, I finally did it. I sat down this weekend and read the final Harry Potter book. From cover to cover it probably took me a total of 4 hours (compare that to 4 weeks for the Aaron Burr book - which was approximately the same size).

::I'm going to duck now to avoid the hate bombs for my fast reading of fiction::

I have to admit, Ms. Rowling's more recent announcement about Dumbledore and his sexual preferences caused me some problems because rather than get lost in the story from beginning to end, whenever Dumbledore and the other guy were mentioned, I would remember her comment and analyze what she'd written to see if there were any subtle hints in the book.

I will also admit I cried. Just a little bit, close to the end of the book.

And now, at some point I am going to need to go back and re-read the whole series from start to finish.

Apart from the story, this book was special because it was a birthday present from my brother-in-law. He's the one who started off my collection of the Harry Potter series by giving me the first book for Christmas a few years back. Maybe I'm strange but I think it's pretty neat that the same person started and finished the collection.
